i hiked today. i really hiked. i hit some nice easy trail from imp down to rt 2 in gorham. it was so flat and such a nice change from the rest of the whites, i actually started running cuz it felt so great. as i was talking to my dad, wishing him a happy father's day, i met some hikers that i hiked with back in va. it was great to catch up. i then decided to push on and ended up meeting up with bomber and ams, who i met up at lakes in the clouds hut back on thursday. they were pushing on into maine so i decided to join them. the first pic is of the sunset
from the top of mt success. the second is of the nh-me border sign and as you can see from the flash needed to take the pic, it was after dark at that point. i am in maine! my 14th and final state! i also passed mile 1900 today. 25mi from imp to carlo col shelter. 1902.9 total.
