day 9 - 3/19

another great day. i slept well again last night. i seem to be going much faster than most people, because i have seen only one person from the day i started. some of the people last night had left an entire week before me. just goes to show that you have to hike your own hike. i was going to try and push thru another 6mi to noc for tonight, but my body said no in the form of an achy left quad. so stopped as planned after 17.9mi at wesser bald shelter. there was no one here for 2 hours until the guy i left springer with finally showed up. his name is keith. i hope i cant hear him snoring cuz i know he does from when he slept in the bunk above me at the hiker hostel. i'll just have to fall asleep early! ;) oh, and btw, it was 84 degrees today and will be nearly all week and it is only march 19th. beautiful! 17.9mi from siler bald shelter to wesser bald shelter. 129.3 total.
