day 6 - 3/16

the people at deep gap last night were great. lots of older guys in their 50s and 60s who had some great stories. i've decided to go by the trail name tribhu. (tree-boo) it's a shortened version of the spiritual name given to me by the guru that leads the haidakhan babaji community throughout the world. it is short for tribhuvan, which is a name of shiva. it just feels right, because after all this is more of a spiritual journey for me than anything else.
so today i went into hiawassee, ga. when i got to the road that's 11mi away from hiawassee, gary from the blueberry patch hotel made an unecessary trip 16mi out of his way just to help me out. awesome man not just saying the golden rule, but actually living it! he would'nt even take a few bucks for gas. amazing. i've got to make a post on whiteblaze the next chance i get just sending out thanks to gary. got back on the trail by 2 and pounded out an additional 8.8 mi to get to bly gap in north carolina. yay! day 6 and i'm already in nc. 12.4 mi from deep gap to bly gap. 76.4 total.
