day 10 - 3/20
another beautiful dry night. i got up to a perfect sunrise and started my hike a little late, around 8:30, because i'm only going 5.9mi to noc, a rafting outdoor complex right on the trail. i started out great, but then started getting the same pain in my quad on the inner left leg just above the knee that i got at the end of the day yesterday. i managed to hike thru it, but it sure was painful. not just sore, but actually painful. i decided to take the rest of today off. i will hit the trail again tomorrow. i am sure that will do the trick and then i have to be careful not to go so fast. thank you, body, for reminding me! meanwhile, i met some great people here at noc. although, as i'm writing this in bed getting ready to go to sleep there is a guy snoring so loud its is truly a wonder. but i've put my headphones in i'll just sleep away. 5.9mi from wesser bald shelter to noc. 135.2 total.
