day 1 - 3/11

stayed at the hiker hostel last night and then started my hike at 9:30. beautiful clear day and the hiking is heart-wrenching great. my cardiovascular abilities have improved so much because i'm hiking really fast up these hills. i am loving it!!! 12.1 mi from springer to sassafrass mountain.
